It’s pretty weird to imagine but as recently as 1995, there was no one easy way to search the Internet for stuff you wanted to find. Even online shopping was pretty new and scary. Yahoo introduced a searchable directory of products and services in 1995, and continued to evolve from there.
This commercial seeks to demystify online shopping; if remote foreign weirdos can do it, why can’t you?
